I love taking family photos and there are so many spots around Springfield, MO that are perfect for your next photoshoot.
First let's start with our local parks. We have some great outdoor spaces that are perfect for framing your family in a beautiful way. We have great trails, creeks, fields and gardens here in the Ozarks.
This is the most beautiful park year-round. There are several gardens blooming all spring, summer and fall. If you want to know the truth, this is my favorite park to do family sessions because there is such a diversity in backdrops here. There are several gardens, there is a pond and walking trail, bridge, wildflower field, and a couple of fountains.
Even in the colder months, the farmstead at the park provides great spots for family photos and children's portraits (not to mention a little shelter from the rain or wind when it gets chilly)
This is my favorite park to take families in the fall. The display of fall colors here is glorious (and it tends to be less-crowded with others doing photo shoots at the same time). There are several bridges, pond, ducks, trails and even a cave at this hidden gem of a park.
Lost Hill is a great place to explore with your family. There are trails, a creek and some really interesting structures like a silo and abandoned stone building. Often times there are hay bails on the property as well.
If your family needs some space to run the sillies off, this is a great location to do that and still get some sweet shots of the little ones.
Fellows lake is also a great place for family photos. There are trails to explore, there are spots right by the water to take photos and there is a large field there too. I love this area for families because it tends to be less crowded with other photo shoots going on and is really quite beautiful year-round.
