Springfield, MO is a great place to take senior pictures. Whether your senior is into fashion, the outdoors or just having fun, there is a place for every style and interest. Here are a few of some of the best places in Springfield Missouri to take senior pictures.
Fellows Lake
Fellows lake is a great place to take senior pictures. This picturesque location features a view of the water, open field, rocky waterfront and walking paths. This is a great location for the nature loving senior. There are several spots to get some cool photos of your senior with their car as well. Fellows lake is generally less crowded than the local park so it's perfect to have space to move around and get creative.
Historic Commercial Street.
C-Street is a great place to take senior photos for the senior looking for an urban vibe. There are coffee shops, funky antique stores, unique sculptures and eventually the historic walking bridge once it's restored. There are some fun murals and storefronts that offer a lot of variety and fun to your photo shoot.
Take a mural tour of Springfield.
Springfield has somehow become known for it's many murals around town. There are several themed ones as well as abstract ones to fit every color palette and style. Here is a list of Instagram worthy murals in Springfield that you can check out.
Nathaniel Greene Park
Nathaniel Greene Park and the Botanical Garden is always a staple around here mainly because of the variety of backgrounds. It offers a historic schoolhouse and homestead including an old barn, open prairie field, fountains, creek and pond, waterfall, underpass, walking bridge, trails and more. It also has something blooming from April to October. So if you love flowers or blooming plants and trees, this is the perfect location for you.
Your senior's school or stadium.
Your child's school is also an option as it is where they spent the last four years of their life. This is a great way to incorporate their interests such as sports or clubs that they participate in. Always double check with your school to see what is allowed and when you can use the school grounds.
There are many more options but these are some of my favorite places to take seniors for the senior portrait session. It's always a good idea to ask your senior what types of locations they would like to use. Teens always know some cool places around town too that may be meaningful to them in their senior journey like a coffee shop or library or favorite fast food place.
This is an exciting time in your child's journey that should be captured. I love capturing this milestone and incorporating their interests and ideas. I would love to capture your senior at any of these locations or somewhere new that I haven't been to yet. I have several options for every budget.
